Star Formation

Star Formation is a series of three bronze sculptures depicting the birth of a star. The first phase is a sculpture with a charcoal black and rough surface while the second phase has a hint of sparkle and cleaner surface. The third stage of the sculpture has a golden-yellow surface as the star is about to ignite. In the photographic work “Star Shopper“, a mysterious figure holds a fully formed, shining star in their hands. The sculpture have been cast at Taidevalimo Sinisalo in Säkylä, Finland.
