A festival teaser video for Pori Film Festival 2018.
Death Hawks’ new song Atitlán from their fourth full length album is my third video for the band. Teemu Markkula and myself cooked up the idea on what the video should include in terms of looks and story.
This video is a homage to staying at home and reading a book, listening to music or watching a movie. It’s our third video together with Islaja.
Tehtaantyttö is the second music video I’ve done for the band M. I think this is the first music video that hasn’t been shot in a single day.
Finally after a year of no time to make music videos here’s one for Seremonia. We started planning for this months ago and bounced off different ideas with the band but none of them stuck or were too difficult to realize. Once I had the idea for this particular script and a clear vision of how I wanted to execute it, it was the quickest turnaround ever.
Samurai Rauni Reposaarelainen was filmed over a three year period. Our first day of shooting was on march 2013 and our final shoot was in April 2016. September 2016 we had our premiere of the movie at Helsinki International Film Festival – Love & Anarchy at a sold out Savoy theater to an audience of 700 people.
The eight episode in A Day in the Mouth series is about Emma Ainala who is my favourite Finnish painter at the moment. I travelled to Savonlinna to film her painting at her studio and also visited her family.
Death Hawks are releasing their third album “Sun Future Moon” shortly. First single is called Behind Thyme which we shot a video for during the moon eclipse on September 26th.
